Honda CB 350 RS launch in India: Japanese two-wheeler company Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on Tuesday held the world premiere of its medium-sized Made in India motorcycle CB 350 RS 2021. As per reports, the bookings for this bike have been started and it will be available in India from next month.
The CB 350 RS is Honda’s second new offering of motorcycles in the CB group, which is a ‘Made in India for the world’ bike after the CB 350 bike was introduced in October last year.
The price of CB 350 RS 2021 is Rs 1.96 lakh.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) Managing Director, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Atsushi Ogata said in a virtual conference that last year, Indian automakers have experienced the ‘Made in India’ CB brand and got a chance to increase their riding experience. “Today, we are excited to add another chapter to the CB series,” he said, adding that showing the true heritage of the CB brand, the CB 350 RS will add value to the Indian customer by providing contemporary style and superior experience.
The company will consider the plan to export
Ogata said that since the CB 92 was offered in the year 1959, Honda’s CB brand has pushed the limit of technology. This bike is a beautiful mix of performance, comfort, style, technology and credibility, he said. Asked if the company planned to export the CB 350 RS, he said that HMSI would discuss with the headquarters in Japan and find global markets that are interested in both the CB 350 and CB 350 RS bikes.
However, he said that with these two bikes, HMSI’s priority will be the Indian market. Commenting on the expansion of the Big Wing network, HMSI Director – Sales and Marketing Yadvinder Singh Guleria said that the company is on track to reach 50 sales centres by March. He said that by the end of this month, the company will have 35 sales centres ready. When asked about the business scenario for the year 2021, Ogata said that the year has just started and it is better than last year so far, but the demand needs to be taken seriously.
